A Safe, Caring Home Where Every Child Matters

Not an institution, but a genuine home with warmth, comfort, and the kind of stability that helps young people feel safe enough to be themselves. From cozy bedrooms to shared family meals, every detail is designed to nurture belonging.

We see beyond the past and focus on possibility. Whether it's supporting education, nurturing talents, or celebrating small victories, we help each child discover their strengths and build confidence in who they're becoming.

Healing happens in relationship. Our consistent, caring staff build genuine connections with each child, becoming trusted adults who listen without judgment, guide with wisdom, and celebrate every step forward.
At Suubi House, we create a space where children feel comfortable, welcomed and safe the moment they arrive. We encourage open conversations, ensure concerns are always listened to, and provide clear, friendly guidance for settling in.
Your Voice Always Matters – We encourage suggestions, feedback and open communication. Complaints are handled promptly, respectfully and confidentially, with clear outcomes and support to appeal if needed.
We celebrate diversity and ensure that everyone is treated with equality, fairness and understanding—no matter their background, identity, culture or beliefs.
Bullying has no place in Suubi House. We take swift, supportive action to protect every child and teach understanding through open discussion and key worker conversations.
Children help choose weekly menus, explore different cuisines, enjoy “takeaways,” and join cooking or baking activities. Dietary needs and allergies are fully supported.
Each child is matched with a trusted key worker who provides guidance, listens without judgment, helps plan for the future and makes learning positive and enjoyable.
Education is more than school. We support learning through traditional schooling, apprenticeships, life skills development, money management, healthy living, cooking. Hard work and achievement are recognised and rewarded.
From board games and movie nights to exploring Nottingham, Sheffield, Birmingham or even trips to the seaside—Suubi House offers endless opportunities for fun, learning and new experiences.

Structured Routine
Predictable daily rhythms that create security: school preparation, shared meals, homework support, leisure time, and bedtime routines that help children feel grounded.
Education Support
Close partnership with local schools, dedicated homework help, advocacy for each child’s educational needs, and encouragement to pursue their academic potential.
Activities & Hobbies
Opportunities to try new things—sports, arts, music, clubs—helping children discover passions and build confidence through achievement.
Emotional Support
Access to therapeutic services, regular key worker sessions, and staff trained to support mental health and emotional wellbeing throughout the healing journey.
Life Skills Development
Age-appropriate teaching of practical skills—cooking, budgeting, self-care, social skills—preparing young people for independent living.
Community & Connection
Support accessing community resources, building friendships, maintaining positive family contact where appropriate, and creating a network of support.

Physical and emotional safety isn't negotiable. We create an environment where children feel protected and secure.

Every child's voice matters. We listened to understand, not to respond, and we learn from what they share.
Mistakes are opportunities to learn. We focus on progress, not perfection, celebrating every step forward.

We encourage children to be themselves, express their feelings, and explore the interest and identities.
